Observational Notations Code System

Menstruation or Other Bleeding:

On L & VL days of bleeding -- mark in the presence or absence of mucus and sensation.
H = heavy flow
M = moderate flow
L = light flow
VL = very light flow

Categories of DRY:

0 = DRY
2 = damp without lubrication
2W = wet without lubrication
4 = shiny without lubrication

Categories of PEAK type mucus: where there is a sensation of lubricaton only nothing can be finger tested off the tissue

10DL = damp WITH lubrication
10SL = shiny WITH lubrication
10WL = with WITH lubrication

Categories of PEAK and NON-PEAK mucus: where there is mucus that can be finger tested and the sensation may be any one of the three sensations

6 = sticky (1/4 " or less)
8 = tacky(1/2" to 3/4 ")
10 = stretchy (1" or more)
P = pasty
G = gummy or gluey
B = brown
C = cloudy (white)
C/K = cloudy/clear
K = crystal clear
Y = yellow (even pale yellow)
R = red/pink

Sensations:

D= dry
S = smooth
L = lubricative/slippery

Record the number of times that day you saw the most fertile sign:

X 1 = seen once
X 2== seen twice
X 3 = seen three times
AD = seen 4 times or more
