Counseling Therapy

Geraldine Matus, M.A. Counseling Depth Psychology

Nobody, as long as (s)he moves about among the chaotic currents of life is without trouble. -- Carl Jung

When we find ourselves in trouble, we often feel that we are at odds with the world.  The depths of our discomfort might reflect, though, how we are at odds with ourselves. A greater understanding of the energy, intellect, dreams and desires that make us who we are can offer us a firmer, more peaceful ground upon which to stand.

Psychologist Carl Jung based his work on the premise that our imaginations and dreams can give us insight into a deeper world of meaning.

At Justisse Healthworks, Geraldine Matus, M.A., Counseling Depth Psychology, draws upon Jung's imaginational and archetypal models as well as other psychological practices in her work.  She regards the therapy process as a partnership that reflects on the clients' concerns and works toward their goals and desired well-being.

Ms. Matus employs techniques such as active imagination, movement, journaling, artwork, sand tray, play, dream elucidation and other means for understanding the psychological and spiritual expression of her clients.
